An Anglo-Catholic Church of England Christian community in
Catford, South East London.
"Our Mission as a visible Christian community, is worshipping God and caring for our local community".
Welcome to the church of St John the Baptist!
We are a loving, welcoming community of Christians here to serve both God and our local community. We hope you will join us so that we can continue to grow in faith and holiness together.
We have sadly had to make the difficult decision to close for public worship during the current lockdown in order to help keep each other and the community safe. Our foodbank continues to operate on Wednesdays however, and we continue to care for each other and those in need. Our services also continue to be streamed from the church on our Facebook page.
Our regular Masses are at 10.30 a.m. on Sundays, 10 a.m. on Wednesdays and 7.30 p.m. on Thursdays. We also stream daily Morning and Evening Prayer (please see our Worship page for details).
You can join us for Children's Church (Primary School Age) at 5pm every Sunday and Storytime (for Pre-Schoolers) at 1.45pm every Tuesday. We have suspended the St John’s @4 Sunday service until further notice and will advise when it restarts.
We also share coffee together on Zoom at 12.30 p.m. on Sundays for half an hour, so please do join us then for some social time together – get in touch for the log in details.
So, despite the lockdown, there’s lots going on at your church!
Stay safe and well, and if we can help with anything, or if you’d just like a chat, please call Fr Christopher on 020 8461 5632 or email him at email@example.com.
God bless you, and we hope to see you soon,
Sonia, Sandy and Fr Christopher
Churchwardens and Curate
